Municipal Park

Jean Augustine Park, Humber Bay Shores 

This is a peaceful small park near Park Lawn Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West that features a water fountain, multiple pathways through the open green space and leads to Humber Bay Shores Park. Formerly known as Newport Beach Park, this park was renamed in 2010 to honour of Jean.


Located at 2113 Lake Shore Boulevard West, the Jean Augustine Park is part of the Toronto Linear Park System, and is adjacent to the Mimico Linear Trail.

The Jean Augustine Complex and the Jean Augustine District Park, Vaughan

At a special ceremony in 2020, a multi-purpose building and a park in the City of Vaughan were named the Jean Augustine Complex and the Jean Augustine District Park in honour of Jean as a “passionate educator, lifelong public servant and a national trailblazer”.

 

Located at 1000 New Westminster Drive in Thornhill, Ontario, the complex houses the City Playhouse Theatre; the Westmount Collegiate Institute known for its arts program and its strong academic program; and the Rosemount Community Centre which is attached to the northern edge of the school. It contains an arena, a split gymnasium, and recreational rooms used for different events and programs.
